Company History
- 2007 June – Tim reinvents the industry by hand selecting home building experts to join forces in developing a new company focusing on affordable green built homes.
- 2008 Summer – first Geo-thermal HVAC installed in a Tim O'Brien Home
- 2008 Fall – Tim O'Brien Homes builds 1st fully customized home
- 2008 – Tim O'Brien Homes builds the Wisconsin Trend Home; 1st home with a grey water recovery system in WI, 1st TOB Home with Photovoltaics and Solar Hot Water
- 2008 December – Tim O'Brien Homes finishes the year with 28 homes started
- 2009 June – The Kensington Model in Jackson becomes the first home certified by the National Green Building Certification Program in the State of Wisconsin
- 2009 September – Our first parade home, the Evergreen, wins the Overall Grand Award, People's Choice Award for Best Space, and is the first GOLD Level National Green Building Certification Program home in Wisconsin
- 2009 December – the year closes with 54 homes started
- 2010 – Tim O'Brien Homes partners with WE Energies to build and research 12 solar electric homes in Southeastern Wisconsin
- 2010 January – Tim brings his green building expertise and leadership to the Metropolitan Builders Association with his term as the organization's president.
- 2010 Summer – Waukesha Chamber of Commerce and the Milwaukee Biz Times chooses Tim O'Brien Homes as a Top Ten Small Business of the Year
- 2010 September – the Gold Level National Green Building Certification Program Parade of Homes Model, the Sequoia, wins the People's Choice Award for favorite home and wins the Best Space Award for the stunning Great Room.
- 2010 Fall – Tim guides the City of Waukesha in establishing Green Sustainability Guidelines, helping the city to be a leader in green development
- 2010 December – the year closes with 65 homes started
- 2011 Spring – City of Waukesha Redevelopment Authority selects Tim O'Brien Homes to build 3 homes in the Dunbar Oaks Neighborhood.
